Be the operational backbone that keeps ICEYE Germany's intelligence delivery running — from the moment a tasking request comes in to the moment actionable insight reaches the customer.

You are the person who ensures satellite collection is coordinated, data is monitored, and customers receive timely, accurate intelligence products. You will work across mission planning, data interpretation, and direct customer engagement — keeping ICEYE Germany's operational tempo high and its output trustworthy. You will also serve as a key interface to Germany-based government and defence customers, translating their operational requirements into executable satellite collection plans.

This is an operational role with real stakes. The intelligence you coordinate and deliver informs decisions in national security, disaster response, and critical infrastructure protection.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

Run the operations cell. Manage and prioritize satellite tasking requests for Germany and surrounding regions. Coordinate with internal mission planning teams to optimize collection schedules and ensure timely execution of customer requirements.

Own real-time monitoring. Track satellite passes, collection status, and delivery timelines across active missions. Respond to time-sensitive or high-priority tasking requests with speed and precision.

Interpret and report. Review SAR imagery and derived products to identify relevant changes or events. Generate concise, actionable intelligence reports for customers and support rapid dissemination during critical situations — natural disasters, security incidents, and time-critical government requirements.

Engage customers and stakeholders. Act as the primary operational point of contact for Germany-based customers, including government and defence agencies. Translate their mission requirements into executable tasking plans and keep them informed on collection status and product delivery.

Maintain the operational picture. Keep situational awareness of regional events — across Germany and the wider DACH region — that affect ISR priorities and collection planning.

Strengthen the function. Contribute to process improvements, operational best practices, and the onboarding and training of new team members as the cell grows.

What We Measure After Twelve Months

• Germany-focused tasking requests are executed on time and to customer specification, with no critical gaps in coverage.

• Customer satisfaction among German government and defence accounts is high, with repeat engagement on priority programmes.

• Operational processes are documented, repeatable, and resilient to staff changes or surge demand.

• The ISR cell is capable of supporting classified collection workflows at the classification levels enabled by ICEYE Germany's security posture.

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

• Experience in ISR operations, geospatial analysis, satellite operations, or a directly comparable operational environment — ideally within the Bundeswehr, a German federal security agency (BND, BfV, Federal Police), or a defence industry context.

• Familiarity with SAR imagery and remote sensing data, and the ability to interpret complex datasets under time pressure.

• Knowledge of GIS tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS, or comparable imagery analysis platforms.

• Experience in ISR operations, geospatial analysis, satellite operations, or a directly comparable operational environment — ideally within the Bundeswehr, a German federal security agency (BND, BfV, Federal Police), or a defence industry context.

• Background with government, defence, or security customers in Germany or the DACH region, and an understanding of how these organisations task, consume, and act on intelligence products.

• Experience in a 24/7 operations or command centre environment is a strong advantage.

• Engineering or software background that supports understanding of data pipelines, collection systems, or geospatial platforms.

• Eligibility for German security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung Ü2/Ü3) is required. Existing clearance is a significant advantage.

• Fluent German and professional English, with the ability to communicate clearly at both working and customer level.

• Valid European drivers license B
