## About the Team

Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to work as Avionics Production Engineer (m/f/d). Do you want to revolutionize space travel in New Space? Then you've come to the right place.

## Your Tasks

- Develop and optimize assembly processes for avionics hardware, including wiring harnesses and electrical/electromechanical components.

- Oversee daily production operations for avionics assembly: ensure production schedules, quality, and safety standards are met.

- Define and implement testing procedures for avionics components: specify test equipment, develop test methods, and integrate testing into production.

- Perform hazard and risk assessments as part of quality and safety oversight.

- Provide technical support: troubleshoot assembly issues, support production staff, and collaborate with design teams for continuous improvement.

- Drive continuous improvement efforts: identify inefficiencies, implement lean manufacturing principles, and reduce waste while increasing reliability.

- Manage documentation: write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test procedures, process parameters, and quality control records.

- Maintain production equipment: supervise maintenance and calibration of assembly and testing machines to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate cross-functionally: work closely with R&D, design, quality, and AIT (Assembly, Integration, Test) teams to align production with broader program goals.

- Introduce production processes into PLM/MES systems to ensure traceability and production readiness.

## Your Qualifications

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similarly relevant field.

- Proven experience in an assembly environment for electrical harnesses or avionics.

- Good understanding of harness design, wiring techniques, materials, and production techniques.

- Experience developing or restructuring procedures in an assembly production environment.

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies and risk assessment.

- Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and/or MES (Manufacturing Execution System) tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex assembly or integration issues.

- Project management and communication skills: ability to guide production teams and coordinate across functions.

- Advantageous: knowledge of aerospace industry standards (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620)

- Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
